Are there risks to believing that they are, or are not?

This article was inspired by an individual on Twitter who subscribes to the “Once Saved Always Saved” (“OSAS”) doctrine. His view is that the Epistle of James cannot be used to refute OSAS because the letter was “temporal” and not “eternal” (to be continued)  (see original posts at https://x.com/KJVliteracy/status/2005337196027629686?s=20). Pasted below are his (lightly edited) 2026mmdd arguments (ie. draft #1):

(insert his introduction)

Often misunderstood, James 2:26 actually highlights [insert opinion].

(Discuss definitions of temporal, earthly, spritual and eternal)

To comprehend James’ warnings, one must place read them in the correct context. For example:

One must also be able to discern Scripture in order to recognize verses that are temporal and earthly versus those that are spiritual and eternal.

Personally, I have yet to be swayed by callmecuppy’s arguments. In many cases, I do not agree with his interpretation of Scripture (# see link to list). In others, relying on “recorded history” as “proof” is clearly problematic if we are in Satan’s Little Season. Why? If Satan has already been loosed in order to “deceive the nations”, then there would be little point … if His Son permitted a neon sign over New Jeruselam and a Google map.
