Introducing Nashville’s “Room in The Inn” Executive Director Rachel Hester. Nothing about this story makes any sense … yet.

On 20260602 I arrived back in Nashville following my sojourn back through:

After exhausting my remaining savings, I wound up back at the Nashville Rescue Mission 20260612 and learned of Room In The Inn (“RITI”) from a patron at the men’s mission (#fn RITI is not advertised/promoted at the women’s NRM) at church the following day. Busy working on my 20260625 letter to Dr. Jack White (#fn draft outline postponed again), I did not visit RITI until 20260619 when I attended:

  • “Bible Study with Bill” at 10:30 (#fn link),
  • lunch at noon and
  • Beaux’s “Karaoke” at 1:00 (#fn link) when I performed #twbROCKS #KaraokeCover tune “50 Ways …” (#fn).

I earned 80 RITI points that day and, as my storage unit was going to expire in a few weeks, I knew that I needed to attend many more classes if I was going to be in a position to store what was left of my valuables (#fn). For the next four weeks, I attended as many classes as was reasonably possible given my other obligations/projects (see activity log at https://twb.rocks/riti/activity-dm); and, I grew impressed with the volunteers and the entire program in general. On 20260729, Ms. Hester chose to subject me to a “ban of all classes on the second floor”, although she refused to provide this ban in writing. Witnesses included “Maggie” and “Rachel”. Maggie lied about the manner in which I inquired about who was seeking a solution for the severe infestation at the men’s NRM and Rachel sat quietly throughout the [30-minute character assault] when Ms. Hester’s without-grounds ban grew from “that afternoon”, to “that week” to “until further notice” as each [fiery dart#fn Epshesians 6:16 (KJV)] that she shot was immediately quenched as my both my purpose and intentions were both:

  • undeniable and
  • well-evidenced.

Why she was so triggered by my altruism (a “mature”, sub-conscious Defense Mechanism to shock, see summary at https://twb.rocks/psychiatry#defensive-dysregulation)? At time of writing, I have no answers; however, my questions so far include:

  1. How many men are currently patrons at the men’s NRM?
  2. How many women are currently patrons at the women’s NRM?
  3. Why is RITI not advertised at the women’s NRM? (Both newcomers and existing residents thank me for informing them of the programs and lunches offered.)
  4. Why would an Executive Director be triggered by an individual that was providing accolades to its not-for-profit entity?
  5. Why would a 60-year old, white, female, pro-Bible, Jesus follower be banned from attending Bible Study and Art classes offered by a 501(c)(3) that identifies as a church [for tax purposes]?
  6. Given the urgency of my need to arrange for storage of my luggage while being continuously de-frauded by my husband and his accomplices (#fn), why hasn’t Ms. Hester responded to my e-mails (#fn)?
  7. Is RITI’s preference to support homeless men?
  8. Given RITI’s stated capacity of 20 attendees/class, X classes/timeslot, 5 timeslots/day, does expanding awareness of its existence pose potential capacity issues with which they are not in a position to manage?
  9. Why are only $10 Gift Certificates from Kroeger’s and McDonald’s offered by the RITI Express Store?
  10. If this RITI “Church” is already discriminating against women, seniors, whites and/or followers of Jesus, then why should they receive $500,000 in additional funding?

According to [Entity], RITI “identifies as a church”. Accordingly, their [profits] remain tax-free. However:

  • in 2025, they were written up for ….
  • in 2026, they received xxx and xxx and a $10,000 donation which …

So, why was the ban really implemented? Why hasn’t it been lifted along with an apology for the errors? Why hasn’t RITI’s ED or staff responded to any of my requests?

If this is really a church, then why have I been discriminated against? I’m not a former addict or ex-con like many of their patrons. I’ve shown no aggression nor posed any threat to anyone; although, I have recently been the recipient of same. I merely collect points to store my luggage (with locks, that seemingly have already been picked) and work on a few art projects … two of them that are designed to ramp Biblical literacy!!
